The Role:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you’ll be part of our core team, building and scaling an event-driven platform that businesses rely on daily. You’ll design and implement services in Go, work closely with product and other engineers, and make thoughtful trade-offs that balance speed, quality, and scalability. What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, resilient APIs and backend services.
• Develop maintainable and clean code with strong testing practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
• Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance business priorities and long-term sustainability.
• Contribute to our engineering culture by sharing knowledge and raising the bar for technical excellence.
• Research and experiment with new tools, patterns, and technologies that can improve our systems.

What We’re Looking For:

• 6+ years of experience as a backend engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience in Go - advantage
• Solid understanding of web development practices, microservices, and event-driven systems.
• Familiarity with Postgres, Neo4j, NATS, RabbitMQ, and cloud providers (GCP/AWS) — or eagerness to learn them quickly.
• Experience with modern development practices such as TDD, CI/CD, and agile methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a product-focused mindset.
• B.Sc. in Computer Science (or equivalent).

Bonus Points For:

• Experience in startups, SaaS, or fintech/payments.
• Background in B2B or B2B2C platforms.
• Prior work designing or leading software projects end-to-end.
• Curiosity that sometimes leads to juggling at least three flaming chainsaws while riding a unicycle (metaphorically, but we won’t judge if literally).
