Job Description

As a Senior Applied Researcher, you'll work as part of the Wix CTO Office team, conducting innovative research to give Wix’s products a competitive edge. You'll tackle a variety of challenges, from vision models to LLM-based architectures, reinforcement learning, reasoning, and more.

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Design, train, and implement models that solve specific needs
• Collaborate with Wix product teams to design and integrate AI models
• Run POCs
• Explore cutting-edge solutions that can be the next strategic direction for Wix
• Brainstorm and research novel ideas in various fields
  
  
  

Qualifications

• PhD in CS or related field, or MSc and 5+ years of applied research experience
• 5+ years of research experience in computer vision, machine learning, autonomous perception, or related areas
• Programming skills in Python and experience with modern ML frameworks (PyTorch, HuggingFace, LangChain…)
• Hands-on experience with large-scale training
• Strong knowledge of deep learning models and common model architectures such as transformer models, LLMs, CNNs, RNNs
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Demonstrated creativity and willingness to tackle ambitious, high-risk problems
• Strong publication record at top-tier AI/ML conferences and journals – an advantage
• Open-source contributions to ML/AI frameworks – an advantage
  
  
  

Additional Information

We are Wix's Data Science CTO Office team, a small team composed of researchers and engineers. We work with different groups at Wix and with the CEO on various research projects. Some are for new features to be added to Wix products, some are research in areas that could give Wix a strategic advantage.
