Job Description Summary

GE Healthcare’s Molecular Imaging PET/CT group is seeking an exceptional software engineer to join our dynamic software team.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.
  • Drive increased efficiency across the team, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse.
  • Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge.
  • Apply principles of SDLC and Agile methodologies, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
  • Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
  • Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
  • Proactively share information across the team.
  • Developing complex application with C/C++/Java.

Desired Characteristics/Technical Expertise

  • B.A./B.Sc. in CS/EE from a leading institution / experience from IDF tech units.
  • Excellent knowledge of OO design principles and patterns.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Skilled in breaking down problems and analysing them, offering solutions and trade-offs.

Advantage Skills

  • Experience building complex multithreaded software.
  • Familiarity with HW/SW interfaces.
  • Familiarity with Linux OS.
  • Passion for quality and experience in writing well tested code.
  • Experience working in Agile settings (Scrum/Kanban).
