In the role of Applied Researcher, you will be tasked with finding new solutions to our existing and visionary products. This position demands a dynamic individual capable of solving complex optimization problems and innovating within various domains through data analysis, algorithm development, and creative problem-solving.
What Will You Do?
- Engage in rigorous research, applying your analytical skills to develop and fine-tune algorithms that address real-world challenges across diverse data sets.
- Generate significant outcomes in revenue by employing detailed analysis and statistical modeling.
- Explore and exploit new methods for leveraging data to enhance and propose novel Wenrix’s solutions and product ideas.
- Navigate the architectural nuances of Wenrix’s systems, collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering and product teams to evolve prototypes into scalable, robust solutions.
What You Bring
- Solid foundation in diverse algorithm development and data analysis with a knack for quick domain acquisition and feature/product innovation.
- Demonstrated ability of solving real-world problems using quantitative and analytical approaches.
- BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in the tech industry.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a creative approach to new challenges.
- Ability to quickly understand and innovate within new domains, generalizing concepts to propose new features or products.
- A will to thrive in a startup environment by having autonomy while being a valuable team player to drive project success.
- Experience in areas such as cybersecurity, fraud detection, data scraping/reverse engineering is considered - advantage.
- An advanced degree (MSc or higher) in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or a related field- advantage.
- Experience with Python3 and relevant libraries (pandas, sklearn) is required. Familiarity with modern data tooling (DBT, SQL) and emerging technologies (LangChain, prompt engineering)- advantage.
