About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced C++ Development Team Lead to head our dynamic team of SDK developers. The ideal candidate has strong technical depth in C++ and proven leadership experience.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage a team of C++ developers (including offshore engineers), fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of an SDK used by game engines, ensuring best practices and high-quality standards are met.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting skill development and career growth.
- Take a hands-on role in debugging, tracing, and optimizing performance to deliver a robust and efficient SDK.
- Drive the adoption of test automation strategies, including unit and integration testing, to ensure the reliability and performance of the SDK.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in C++, graphics programming, and related technologies, applying innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical contributions.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading and managing a team of software developers, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in C++ development.
- Strong experience in SDK development (experience with Game SDKs is a major advantage).
- Deep expertise in debugging, tracing, and performance optimization.
- Experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks for unit and integration testing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the gaming industry or related fields.
- Proficient in graphics programming with a solid understanding of DirectX 11/12, Vulkan, and OpenGL - a big advantage
- Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the software development community.
- Experience with other programming languages and frameworks is a plus.
