Job Description

Your Career

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer (Cortex XDR) to join our Cortex XDR team and help us to prevent, detect and respond to all runs on integrated endpoint, network and cloud data – reduce the noise and focus on real threats.

Your Impact

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be part of a team that operates with the agility of a startup, supported by the strength and scale of a successful corporation. You will design and build infrastructure capable of handling billions of events per second—storing, processing, and making them accessible to users—while collaborating with leading cyber security products.

In this role, you will take ownership of projects end to end, covering the full software development life cycle: from requirement analysis and design to development, deployment, and ongoing support. You’ll write clean, testable, efficient, and scalable code that ensures performance at scale.

Beyond being a hands-on technical contributor, you will serve as a Tech Lead, driving the technical vision and execution of our infrastructure components. In this role, you’ll guide cross-team integrations, mentor engineers, and combine deep technical expertise with strategic leadership—setting direction, solving complex challenges, and delivering solutions that keep our cyber products at the forefront of the industry.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience - Must
  • Experience in distributed cloud products
  • Experience with networking protocols
  • Experience with Linux operating systems
  • Experience in designing, building and maintaining a scalable server side application
  • Experience in Go / Python - an advantage
  • Experience with GCP - advantage
  • Experience with Kubernetes/Docker - advantage
  • Knowledge of the cyber field - advantage
