The Role

Vim is seeking an experienced, skilled and creative Full-Stack Engineer to join our Barebone (platform infra) team. At the Barebone team, we facilitate and maintain the infrastructure that supports higher-level teams efforts, thus playing a central role in pushing business initiatives from PRD to Production-ready. We design, code, and maintain the interaction layer with the EHR (the software used by physicians at the point of care), and and the same time - adopt a guardian state-of-mind, making sure we do not cause any degradation in the EHR’s performance or functionality; this is a fundamental part of us being an add-on software. 

As a Full-Stack Engineer at Vim, you’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA Engineers, and fellow Developers and participate in all the technical stages, from design to deployment, to monitoring and working with our customer success and support. You’ll have the opportunity to drive impactful improvements while contributing both autonomously and within cross-functional teams.

What You’ll Do

• Develop a responsive, high-performing, web extension that will house VIM’s hub.
• Lead web platform infrastructure initiatives, applying JS (TS, Node.js) best practices, performance optimization techniques, and security principles.
• Write clean, efficient code with a focus on comprehensive test coverage.
• Own the full lifecycle of your features, from development to deployment.
• Act as a technical point of contact and support the external developers through the implementation process.
• Mentoring peers and driving innovation within your domain.

Who We're Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a deep understanding of front-end development best practices, web programming, and web internals.
• Expertise in JavaScript with a strong track record of building scalable, high-quality solutions, and a deep understanding of the JS ecosystem (including TypeScript).
• Profound knowledge of browser runtime environments, security principles, and web permissions.
• Proven experience with Chrome extensions, including hands-on development and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience in writing/maintaining backend web service in Node.js.
• A background in fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally from tier-one technical startups, with a focus on enterprise software and technical leadership.
