DevOps Infrastructure Team Leader

As the DevOps Infrastructure Team Leader, you will manage a team of five engineers, focusing on building and maintaining robust, scalable systems. You will play a pivotal role in Load Balancer logic, Web Application Firewalls (WAF), Identity Management, and Secret Management. Your expertise in automation, virtualization, and orchestration tools will help us improve our infrastructure processes while ensuring high availability and performance.
What You'll Do
- Manage a team of 5 DevOps engineers in a hands-on tech leadership role.
- Design, implement, and manage Load Balancer architectures and WAF configurations.
- Oversee Identity and Secret Management processes to ensure secure and efficient access control.
- Maintain server infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles via Terraform and Ansible.
- Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiencies and reduce manual interventions.
- Work with virtualization and orchestration tools to streamline deployment processes.
- Build reliable and robust systems that can handle high loads and ensure performance standards are met.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a keen eye on delivery timelines and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system configurations, deployment pipelines, and monitoring solutions.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of hands-on DevOps experience.
- 2+ years in a tech/people leadership role.
- Excellent people skills and strong ability to drive engagement of peers and managers.
- Deep understanding of automation, virtualization, and orchestration tools.
- Proven background in managing hybrid or multi-cloud infrastructures.
- Experience managing a Web Application Firewall (WAF) solution in a large enterprise environment, including the implementation of complex logic and rules for traffic management and security enforcement.
- Deep expertise in Linux and Windows environments.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for server maintenance and configuration management.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with an emphasis on building reliable systems.
- Proficiency with monitoring, logging and observability tools.
- Experience in secure, air-gapped, on-prem environments.
- Familiarity with security best practices and compliance standards.
Advantage
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, HashiCorp Certified Terraform Associate) not a must but, is a plus.
