CopterPIX is a cutting-edge Israeli high-tech aerospace company. The company specializes in designing, developing and manufacturing autonomous cutting-edge BVLOS UAV applications and solutions.

Our mission is to empower our clients by solving their unique challenges using UAV technology.

We are now looking to expand our technological capabilities into AI-driven solutions, including computer vision, autonomous navigation, and advanced data analytics.

This role will play a key part in shaping and developing this domain within our UAV platforms.

What will you do?

• Develop our drone embedded software devices.
• Work closely with the product to identify and plan new features.
• Own features delivery from design to full-scale deployment.
• Integrate and develop drivers for HW modules
• Develop real time system, including advanced video streaming and communication solutions.
• Explore, prototype, integrate and test AI-based features (e.g., computer vision, sensor fusion, autonomous navigation).
• Collaborate with product and R&D teams to define the roadmap for AI-driven features.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
• Over 3 years of experience in software development.
• Proven hands-on experience with C/C++ development.
• Background in embedded development.
• Knowledge in Python development.
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems – advantage.
• Knowledge in drivers and sensors integration – advantage.
• Knowledge in Linux kernel space programming – advantage.
• Experience working with processors such as STM32, ESP32, ATMEL.
• Experience working with communication protocols such as RS485, RS232, CANbus, UART.
• Experience working with sensors such as Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Barometer, Magnetometer, etc.
• Curiosity and passion for AI/ML and willingness to explore how these can be applied to UAV technologies.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch Mobile, OpenCV) – strong advantage.
• Experience in computer vision, real-time data processing, or autonomous systems – advantage.
• Ability to take ownership of building a new domain within the company.
