About the job

We’re looking for a senior Data Scientist to lead Agmatix into the next stage, utilizing our data assets for in-house business development, product development, and customer outreach.

You will work with large-scale data at the intersection of agronomy and commerce, designing and implementing algorithmic and machine learning solutions that power our data-driven platform. This will include predicting buying behaviors models, sales, and product recommendation models based on farmers' behavior, and combining this with relevant product recommendations. If you’re passionate about turning complex data into real-world impact in agriculture, we are looking for you, a talented, detail-oriented person to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Understand and translate business needs into data-driven solutions
• Work independently with data, including curation, calculations, and enrichment
• Design and implement end-to-end, production-ready algorithmic solutions based on business requirements
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
• Contribute to the design and development of scalable, automated modeling pipeline.

About You

• A Ph.D. (or Master’s with long experience) in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics)
• High level of independence and creativity
• 6+ years of relevant experience and track record in Data Science: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Statistical Data Analysis, and more
• Experience in transactional and commercial data prediction and modeling (Churn, buying behavior, Engagement)
• Experience with designing ML models for time series analysis and forecasting
• Experience with working with big data (1M+ data points)
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and ML frameworks
• Proven experience leading data projects and cross-functionally
• Ability to write production-ready code, including relevant tests.
• Be a quick learner, adaptable, and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Thrives in and enjoys working in startups and a fast-paced environment

Nice to have

• Experience working with a graph database
• Experience with a knowledge graph and its application to data modeling
• Familiarity with the Agronomic domain
