Ness is hiring | Head of Development
We are looking for an experienced and visionary Head of Development to lead and manage development teams in a dynamic and innovative environment.
This is a full-time position based in Tel Aviv.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple development teams, both professionally and personally, including goal-setting, performance reviews, mentoring, and employee retention.
- Build and execute annual work plans, monitor progress, budgets, and timelines.
- Oversee development, maintenance, and modernization of core systems, including SAP, AS400, and Pharmacy Management Systems.
- Drive the integration of financial, logistical, medical, and operational systems.
- Define and implement innovative technological solutions that meet evolving business needs.
- Manage large-scale cross-organizational projects in collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors, and consultants.
- Act as a member of the IT leadership forum.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Industrial Engineering – required (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- At least 10 years of experience managing development teams (12+ employees) – required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ERP systems development and implementation based on SAP – required.
- Proven experience leading large-scale projects (hundreds of man-days) with external vendors and integration across multiple domains.
Additional Advantages:

- Experience with pharmacy systems and pharmaceutical processes.
- Background in healthcare organizations in Israel.
- Hands-on experience in system integration and interface development.
