The Role

You’ll have the chance to truly own projects from start to finish and see the direct impact of your work. In our small, fast-moving team, you won’t just write code, you’ll help shape architecture, solve complex problems, and build systems that make a real difference. You’ll work closely with the CTO and our frontend developer, giving you both visibility and influence in how our platform grows. What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of backend development tasks, from scoping to deployment
• Design and implement scalable architectures for video processing and data pipelines
• Integrate with third-party APIs, payment systems, and internal tools
• Collaborate with our frontend developer to build seamless end-to-end experiences
• Optimize performance, reliability, and security of the platform
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues quickly and independently

What We’re Looking For

At least 5 years of development experience, preferably in startups or small teams

• Strong experience in:
• Strong experience with Python and/or NodeJS
• Proficiency with Kubernetes/Docker for deployment and scaling
• Hands-on experience with FFmpeg or other video processing tools
• Solid background in cloud platforms (GCP or similar), including services such as Cloud Run and Pub/Sub
• Database expertise in both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB)
• Knowledge of TypeScript
• Experience with NestJS for building scalable REST APIs
• Bonus: additional expertise in Python

Solid understanding of system architecture, data modeling, and distributed systems

A self-driven “doer” who can work independently, manage themselves, and deliver full projects with speed and ownership in a fast-paced startup environment.

The role follows a hybrid model: 3 days a week in the office and 2 days working from home. Office days are a standard full workday of 9 hours.
