About This Role

Just Eat Takeaway.com is expanding its delivery services, offering customers not only food from their favourite restaurants but also everyday groceries from local supermarkets and convenience stores.

With rapid growth in grocery delivery, this is a key opportunity for Just Eat Takeaway.com to disrupt the market.

Our product development teams are growing because we have a huge number of ideas of how to improve the experience customers and restaurants have. As a Senior Engineer you will need to play a key role in turning those ideas into reality.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable platform and services
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to define technical solutions
• Drive initiatives to improve developer velocity, quality, and satisfaction
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship
• Stay current with advances in AI, developer tooling, and software engineering best practices
  
  

What will you bring to the table?

• Extensive experience in software engineering, ideally in full-stack roles
• Proficiency in languages like C# and React
• Experience in working with Redux/Mobx/any other state management library
• Experience with semantic markup languages (HTML), JavaScript and CSS
• Team player - Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Experience with AWS and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with REST/gRPC APIs and event-driven systems
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Self-directed learner with the ability to work autonomously
• Passion for developer experience and building tools that engineers love
