abra R&D is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer

We're looking for a passionate and experienced Embedded Software Engineer to be a key part of building a new development activity from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to influence architecture, tools, and methodologies from day one — and to shape the future of our embedded systems platform.

Location: North Israel

Job Type: Full-time, On-site

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop embedded software for real-time operating systems (Linux, VxWorks, FreeRTOS)
• Work at the intersection of software and hardware, developing BSPs and hardware interfaces
• Lead and contribute to the full software lifecycle: design, implementation in C/C++, testing, and integration
• Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and algorithm teams to ensure seamless system integration

Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field – Required
• 3+ years of experience in embedded software development – Required
• Hands-on experience with RTOS environments (Linux, VxWorks, FreeRTOS) – Required
• Strong C++ programming skills and solid grasp of object-oriented design – Required
• Deep understanding of low-level programming and hardware interfaces – Required
