We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our core engineering team and help us scale mission-critical services and build new capabilities around LLM-powered agents, HRTech integrations, and a growing global platform.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Architect, build, and maintain robust and scalable backend services in Node.js
- Design and implement cloud-native services on AWS, using Lambda, ECS, S3, and related tools
- Work with MongoDB, Typescript, queues, and containers to handle high-volume async processing
- Integrate with 3rd-party systems via REST APIs, including HRTech platforms, ATS systems, and communication tools
- Build and maintain services that support our AI/LLM-driven agents (chatbots, screeners, scheduling assistants)
- Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, and AI teams to ship high-impact features
- Follow engineering best practices around testing, observability, and CI/CD
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience building backend services with Node.js
- Deep experience with MongoDB, AWS, Lambda, Docker/containers, and message queues (e.g., SQS, RabbitMQ)
- Proven experience in building or integrating LLM-based solutions (e.g., agents, bots, AI services)
- Strong understanding of API design and systems integration
- Excellent communication skills and a strong team player mindset
- Passion for clean, scalable, and well-tested code
Nice to Have (Big Plus)
- Exposure to conversational AI tools and prompt engineering
- Experience with HRTech platforms, ATS integration (Workday/SuccessFactors/Oracle)
- Experience with Microsoft Teams App development or Outlook API integration
