Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Lead AI Researcher to drive innovation across our core technology stack. This applied leadership role spans research, prototyping, and production delivery. You will guide a small team while remaining deeply technical and code‑contributing.

You will own high‑impact initiatives across computer vision, NLP, GenAI and emerging areas such as reasoning agents, retrieval‑augmented pipelines, and multimodal foundation models. Successful prototypes are expected to land in production, delivering measurable value to our customers.

What you will do:

• Lead applied research and development across CV, GenAI, NLP, and agent‑based systems, with full ownership from exploration to production delivery.
• Work as an integral part of a high-performing, cross-functional team: contributing ideas, sharing expertise, and building solutions collaboratively across disciplines.
• Design and build prototypes that demonstrate technical and product value, then drive their transition into production‑grade services.
• Apply recent advances such as vision-language models, foundation models, and generative techniques to solve real-world infrastructure challenges.
• Communicate research trade‑offs clearly to product, sales, and customer teams to ensure alignment and impact.
• Drive the entire lifecycle of research efforts, from framing ambiguous problems to scalable solutions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product to ensure seamless integration and measurable impact.
• Help shape the research roadmap, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor team members toward execution excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of cumulative experience in applied ML, computer vision, or generative AI.
• Proven ability to lead research through full lifecycle, from exploration to deployment.
• Strong background in vision models, transformers, and multimodal systems.
• Experience with GenAI systems including retrieval-augmented generation, fine-tuning pipelines, reasoning frameworks, and vision-language integration.
• Proficient in Python and modern ML frameworks.
• Experience deploying and managing ML solutions in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), including containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and MLOps.
• Committed to maintaining high technical standards and ability to write production-ready code.
• MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Advantage: Publications and talks at leading conferences.
• Advantage: experience with civil infrastructure.
