We are seeking a Practical Engineer with a focus on RF and Embedded Systems to support the development and testing of wireless communication systems for telecom applications. This includes cellular technologies (2G–5G), satellite communications, and embedded control systems. The candidate will play a critical hands-on role in lab testing, RF integration, embedded system support, and field validation.

As a Cognyter you will:

  • Conduct integration and validation of RF front ends, antennas, filters, and embedded systems for telecom use.
  • Execute RF measurements: VSWR, power levels, harmonics, spurious emissions, noise figure, and link budget components.
  • Assist in testing and debugging embedded systems involved in modem control, protocol stack support, and hardware interfaces.
  • Use tools like spectrum analyzers, VNAs, signal generators, and logic analyzers for diagnostics.
  • Perform basic firmware flashing and configuration of modems and embedded devices (e.g., LTE modules, SDR).
  • Support engineering team in building test jigs, cabling, and low-level interfaces (e.g., UART, I2C, SPI).
  • Create clear documentation for procedures, test logs, and hardware configurations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams including RF, software, and network engineers.

Requirements:

For that mission you’ll need:

  • Practical Engineer Diploma in Electronics, Communication, or Embedded Systems Engineering.
  • 1–3 years of experience in RF testing or embedded systems support, preferably in telecom or wireless domains.
  • Proficient in the use of RF lab equipment (spectrum analyzer, VNA, RF power meter).
  • Experience with embedded platforms (MCUs , modems), hardware debugging, and serial interfaces.
  • Ability to read RF schematics, block diagrams, and basic embedded circuit designs.
  • Basic programming skills in Python, C, or Bash for automation and debugging. - advantage
  • Previous work in telecom R&D labs, defense communication systems, or field test environments. - advantage
