Diversion is GitHub for the creative industries. Our first clients include game development, video production, VR, 3D visualization, and animation companies - developers and artists who value Diversion's seamless scalability, intuitive interface, and real-time collaboration. We've built the world's first fully cloud-based version management platform. Our mission is to simplify and accelerate software and entertainment creation by delivering powerful, easy-to-use, and universally accessible tools.

We are a VC-funded, Y Combinator alum startup established by experienced entrepreneurs, with a core team of exceptional engineers, aiming to make a significant impact in the tech industry.

We are looking for:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
  • At least 5 years experience in software development with expertise in scalable systems
  • Proficiency in backend development with Python and/or Go
  • Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture
  • Strong understanding of database design and optimization (MongoDB preferred)
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices (AWS preferred)
  • Knowledge of API design and development (REST/GraphQL)
  • Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows
  • Leadership mindset with ability to mentor junior developers
  • Passion for building tools that empower creative professionals


Bonus points for:

  • Experience in the creative/gaming industry
  • Knowledge of real-time collaboration systems
  • Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines
  • Open source contributions
