Who are we looking for

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Backend Developer Team Leader with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of AWS infrastructure to construct and expand our platform's essential infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for designing, managing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. This role is perfect for someone passionate about setting high standards with clean code, APIs, and building products that power real-world experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of our Backend Team 
• Build, develop and monitor highly scalable backend services and APIs
• Construct system architectures prioritizing performance and security
• Work closely with front-end teams, product, and operations to launch new functionalities
• Enhance server speed, database operations, and overall codebase efficiency
• Implement thorough documentation, testing procedures, and version management
• Take initiative to find and fix system problems and performance constraints



Tech Stack

• Expert-level proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework
• Strong professional experience with GO
• Various databases both SQL and NoSQL
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, RDS (MySQL), MemoryDB, Redis, OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, S3, Cloudfront, MediaConvert

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in backend development
• Advanced knowledge of AWS-based system architecture
• Experience in management, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and mentorship
• Proficiency in PHP or GO
• Experience designing and scaling backend systems in a production environment
• Strong understanding of system design, API architecture, and database management
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment workflows
• A team player with great communication skills and a proactive attitude

Bonus Points

• Experience in video, adtech 
• Startup or early-stage product experience
