We're seeking a motivated Junior Data Analyst with a strong foundation in SQL and a passion for business intelligence—especially in the economics and banking sector. This role is ideal for someone who wants to turn raw financial data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. You’ll be joining a small, tech-focused team within a lean data environment . That means real ownership, cross-domain exposure, and the need for independence, curiosity, and initiative.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large, regulated datasets
  • Support BI dashboard development and maintain reports (e.g., MetaBase) including drill-downs, linked dimensions, and business visuals
  • Collaborate with data engineers, product managers, compliance officers, and finance teams to understand economic and regulatory requirements
  • Validate datasets and develop QA methods for regulatory reports and internal financial metrics
  • Automate recurring reporting on banking KPIs, customer behavior, liquidity trends, and product performance
  • Document query logic and BI workflows to ensure clarity, transparency, and audit-readiness
  • Take ownership of analytics tasks and proactively drive them to completion, under guidance (if needed)


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Information Systems, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science)
  • 1-2 years experience working with SQL– comfortable with joins, window functions, subqueries, and CTEs
  • Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker)
  • Understanding of relational databases and basic data modeling
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate findings in a clear, business-oriented way
  • Willingness to work across multiple domains in a small, hands-on team
  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) - Advantage
  • Exposure to banking regulation or financial compliance - Advantage
  • Familiarity with Python or R for scripting or data analysis - Advantage
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines or financial reporting - Advantage
  • Internship/project in banking, fintech, or economic research - Advantage
