Job description:

As a Lead AI Product Engineer at Evolution, reporting directly to the CTO, you will steer the end-to-end development of Earth, our AI-for-AI platform. In this hands-on role, you’ll own everything from cloud-native microservices and on-prem installations to the product’s front end. You’ll confront real-world, large-scale challenges across the stack, setting the bar for architecture and AI/ML excellence while transforming bold product vision into resilient, production-ready systems. Collaborating closely with senior data scientists, product managers, and UI/UX engineers, you’ll develop and integrate cutting-edge AI/ML algorithms into seamless user experiences, empowering customers to design, deploy, and evolve their own AI solutions on the Earth platform.

Mandatory requirements:

• BSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• 5-10 years of professional software development experience with a strong record of shipping production systems
• Strong architectural thinking and ability to lead technical decision-making across the stack
• Hands-on mastery of cloud platforms, SQL, Docker, FastAPI, Celery, and Beanie.
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed microservice architectures on Kubernetes (cloud and on-prem)
• Deep working knowledge of MongoDB and Elasticsearch
• Fluency in REST and gRPC, including schema design, versioning, and secure service-to-service communication
• Practical expertise with AWS core services and infrastructure automation
• Solid grasp of Istio and Helm for service-mesh traffic management, observability, and deployment templating
• Demonstrated leadership in mentoring engineers, conducting design reviews, and driving best-practice adoption
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills; comfortable partnering with data science, product, and UX teams in a fast-moving environment

• MSc in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Passion for innovation and curiosity to explore unfamiliar technologies
• Production experience with event-streaming platforms such as Kafka or Pulsar, or serverless patterns on AWS
• Exposure to AI/ML pipelines, model serving, or data-engineering workflows
• Strong technical-writing skills for architecture docs, ADRs, and customer-facing materials

Job location:

Our office is located in the Bursa district of Ramat-Gan, right next to Israel Railways and the Light Rail. This is a primarily on-site role, with most work done from the office.
