Join an exciting and fast-moving InsurTech startup on a mission to reshape the insurance industry—by transforming the outdated process of launching and managing insurance products into something slick, intuitive, fun and wildly more productive. We're looking for a super-talented, hands-on Applications Team Leader to take charge of all customer-facing components of our product.


What you’ll do

As the Applications Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead the architecture, design and development of all customer-facing modules, including:
  • Front-end applications
  • Auto-generated reports, documents & notifications
  • Collaborate closely with product management, designers, and backend engineers to deliver a seamless user experience.
  • Own the end-to-end technical execution of the application layer—from architecture to implementation.
  • Manage and mentor a small, high-performing development team.
  • Bring product and UX thinking into every technical decision.


Who you are

  • A front-end rockstar with deep expertise in building responsive, modern web apps—experience with React is a big plus.
  • Passionate about product, UI, and UX—you think like a designer and build like an engineer.
  • Comfortable working hands-on, and thrive in startup environments where you wear multiple hats.
  • Capable of leading small dev teams and fostering a collaborative, supportive culture.
  • A people person with strong communication skills—you listen well, speak clearly, and love working cross-functionally.


What you’ll need

  • 3+ years of experience as a front-end engineer, preferably in startup or product-focused environments.
  • Strong TypeScript skills and deep knowledge of modern frameworks (React preferred).
  • A good sense for product design and UX, with an ability to translate abstract ideas into working interfaces.
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring a small engineering team – an advantage.
  • High standards for code design, quality, performance, and user experience.
