AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS. Within AWS UC, Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) roles engage with AWS customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Key job responsibilities

Linux Expertise

  • Minimum 4 years experience with Linux systems, Redhat family is an advantage..
  • Professional-level coding and critping in Python, Bash, csh,tcl, java.
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins
  • Advanced knowledge of Git
  • Experience with multi-repository management tools such as Gerrit, GitLab, Repo.
  • Strong experience with Ansible automation
  • Demonstrated expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure and services
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures and solutions
  • Proficiency with modern monitoring solutions including OpenSearch, Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki
  • Strong fundamentals in networking, including: TCP/IP, secure data transfer, network troubleshooting capabilities
  • Containers - Practical experience with Docker containerization, Familiarity with Kubernetes, particularly Amazon EKS

A day in the life

  • Proven ability to lead projects in a multi discipline environment , big CI environment, HPC and EDA flows.
  • Independent, self-starter and team player.

Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written correspondence in English) in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Robust troubleshooting and strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability required.
  • Technical aptitude. Written and oral communications skills.
  • Project management and the ability to deal effectively with people at all levels (technical and business audiences) and in different situations. This includes the ability to develop clear, concise documentation.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • Experience with Linux/Unix
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with distributed systems at scale
