Software Engineering Group Lead to revolutionize the future of AI development within our Core Engineering department. This pivotal role involves leading an elite engineering group and collaborating across our entire R&D organization. Your mission is to architect and implement a cutting-edge,
AI-powered developer experience tooling suite that will redefine our engineering velocity. You'll be the visionary who identifies and shatters bottlenecks, defines industry-leading standards, and partners with development teams to supercharge our entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
About The Role
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing software engineering group, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Define, establish, and implement a comprehensive AI-based developer experience (DevEx) tooling strategy, optimizing the entire engineering SDLC.
- Collaborate closely with all R&D departments to understand their unique needs and challenges, translating them into innovative tooling solutions.
- Proactively identify potential velocity bottlenecks and inefficiencies across the software development lifecycle.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance developer productivity and code quality.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of robust and scalable internal tools and platforms.
- Champion a culture of data-driven decision-making, using metrics to track progress and identify areas for optimization.
- Contribute to the broader technical strategy and roadmap of the Core Engineering department.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience as engineering manager.
- Proven experience in building and scaling developer tools, platforms, or infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern development practices.
- Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Python, Java, Go).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
