Software Engineer

GSI develops Gemini APU, a new kind of hardware accelerator for compute-intensive workloads such as machine learning, image processing, and radar image formation. If you have a passion for high-performance SW and applications, complex algorithms, and getting down to details, this is your place.

We are looking for a versatile superstar that can learn fast and shift from tasks in different areas to help us achieve our demanding projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and maintain micro-code and runtime libraries for next-generation Gemini silicon.

• Prototype and tune diverse workloads—deep-learning inference, computer-vision kernels, signal-processing pipelines—on our associative-compute platform.

• Collaborate with several teams to translate new ideas into reliable, efficient code.

• Diagnose functional or performance issues with logic analyzers, profilers, and tracing tools; deliver clear, data-driven fixes.

• Contribute to our automated testing, CI pipelines, and internal documentation.

• Adapt quickly to new technologies or problem areas as project priorities shift.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.

• 2 + years of professional experience in embedded or low-level software.

• 2 + years of modern C or C++ development.

• Hands-on work with performance-critical code (e.g., firmware, kernels, device drivers).

• Good knowledge of computer and processor architectures (caches, pipelines, memory hierarchy).

• Ability to read hardware specs and use them to guide software design.

Advantages

• Familiarity and understanding of deep-learning or computer-vision algorithms and frameworks.

• Experience porting or optimizing complex algorithms in low-level languages.

• Python scripting for tooling, data analysis, or automated tests.

• Background in compiler design and code generation
