UI Developer to
join our growing team. This individual will join our CurseForge for Studios team and help us build the future of in-game modding tools.
In this role, you'll take the lead on designing and implementing our UE-based in-game UI plugins, empowering game studios—from AAA to indie—to seamlessly integrate mod support into their titles. You’ll work alongside product, design, and R&D teams to create innovative, player-friendly, and developer-ready plugin experiences used by game creators worldwide.
This is a unique opportunity to shape one of the most impactful tools in Overwolf’s ecosystem and work closely with a passionate team that's pushing the boundaries of player-generated content.
Responsibilities:
What You'll Do
- Own the UI/UX development of our Unreal Engine plugin using UMG and Blueprint scripting
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to shape and ship new features
- Build, prototype, and polish interaction flows based on user and game developer needs
- Take ownership of release management, including packaging and GitHub release workflows across UE versions (4.27, 5.2, 5.4, 5.5, etc.)
- Lead the redesign of the plugin’s generic UI, including the mod page, with a strong UX focus
- Implement advanced features like image caching, commenting, and mod recommendations
- Build support for virtual currency integration and help expand the system to Unity in the long term
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience as a UI Developer with a focus on Unreal Engine
- Deep expertise in UMG and Blueprint scripting
- Experience building user interfaces in games or in-game toolsets
- A passion for creating intuitive, polished UI that enhances user experience
- Strong collaboration skills and comfort working cross-functionally with design, product, and backend teams
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Bonus: experience with Unity, virtual currency systems, or developer tools
