Meta is seeking researchers to join its media research teams, which are leading advancements in image and video understanding and generation. These efforts are central to our mission and tackle some of the most critical research challenges of our time. Our work spans machine learning, computational statistics, and applied mathematics, with an emphasis on large-scale media understanding and generative models. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of these fields — developing technologies that allow machines to perceive, interpret, and generate rich, expressive media through both cutting-edge research and impactful real-world applications.
AI Research Engineer, Media Research Responsibilities:
- Researching, designing, implementing and improving machine learning systems
- Collaborate on research projects within a globally based team to advance the science and technology of intelligent machines
- Clean machine learning code in Python, and laying the science behind the engineered systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven record of engineering with programming skills
- Experience with large distributed systems
- 2+ years of experience in machine learning
- Master in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lead-authored publications at peer-reviewed conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR or similar)
- PhD in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning or Artificial Intelligence.
- Experience in creating high-performance implementations of deep learning algorithms
- Demonstrated machine learning experience in one of the following: internship, open-source activity, data science competitions
