A systems engineer is required for the UAV division in Modiin to develop a variety of UAV systems, including small tactical UAVs, loitering munitions, and heavy drones.
Job Description:
- Development of UAV systems (small tactical UAVs, loitering munitions, and drones) that are software- and hardware-intensive, from the solution definition stage through specifications, design, integration, testing, and delivery to the customer.
- Leading complex integrations involving hardware and software components, payloads, and independent guidance of internal disciplines and subcontractors.
- Integration and development of capabilities within command and control (C2) systems.
- Defining requirements for various system components and writing specification and design documents.
- Hands-on end-to-end integration of electronic systems on drones.
- Leading development and integration activities with engineering teams: airborne software, C2 software, simulators, software testing, electronics, and more.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering – Electrical / Software / Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineering.
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering – an advantage.
- Proven experience of at least 4 years as a systems engineer for complex multidisciplinary systems involving both software and hardware.
- At least 3 years of engineering development experience (hardware design / software / flight control).
- Significant advantage for experience with missiles / UAVs / aviation / command and control systems / autonomous vehicles / robotics.
- Hands-on experience working with and operating drones – an advantage.
- Experience with loitering munitions / weapon systems / missiles / warheads – an advantage.
- Familiarity with communication protocols (RS232, RS422, CAN-BUS, TCP/IP) – an advantage.
- Proven experience in scripting using tools such as MATLAB / Python – an advantage.
- Alumni of UAV-related military units (operations / technical / engineering) in the Air Force / Intelligence Corps / special units – an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, leadership and process management capabilities, ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-learning skills, initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
