Shift is a young Cybersecurity startup seeking a Founding Engineer to join the team. As a Founding Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing and developing our core systems from the ground up. You will have end-to-end ownership of technical initiatives that directly impact our product's foundation and company trajectory.

What You'll Do:

• Design and architect core platform components that will serve as our technical foundation
• Develop robust distributed systems with focus on scalability, performance, and security
• Make key technical decisions that shape our product and infrastructure direction
• Build and ship critical features independently from concept to production
• Establish engineering practices and technical standards for the company
• Collaborate with founders to translate business requirements into elegant technical solutions

What You'll Bring:

• 5+ Years of Experience with Node / Python with proven experience building production-grade applications
• Can-do attitude with willingness to tackle "dirty" tasks and implement solutions that "don't scale" while we iterate toward product-market fit
• Exceptional sense of ownership – you take full responsibility for the quality, performance, and success of everything you build
• Self-directed work style with comfort navigating the ambiguity of an early-stage startup
• Ability to ship products independently, driving technical initiatives from conception to deployment
