VP R&D – Wireless Communication Solutions
We are seeking an experienced VP of R&D to lead our engineering team in developing cutting-edge software-defined radio (SDR) solutions for the defense industry. The ideal candidate is a multi-disciplinary technology leader with a passion for innovation, a proven track record in wireless communication development, and the ability to drive projects from concept to large-scale deployment.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all R&D activities, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
- Provide technical vision and leadership across multi-disciplinary domains, including system engineering, modem development, embedded software, algorithms, RF design, and mechanics.
- Drive the design and architecture of advanced SDR solutions while fostering technical excellence.
- Manage the full development lifecycle, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality products.
- Collaborate closely with project management, marketing, and operations to define the technological roadmap.
- Build, mentor, and manage the development team of 30+ engineers, cultivating a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, bottlenecks, and challenges in a matrix work environment.
- Champion best practices in engineering methodologies, product lifecycle management (PLM), Agile/Spiral development, and modern development tools (e.g., Atlassian suite).
Requirements:
- Proven experience in R&D leadership roles. At least 5 engineers for at least 5 years (required).
- Strong expertise in wireless communication technologies, including SDR development, RF systems, embedded software, and system engineering.
- Hands-on experience with development tools and methodologies, such as Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket), Agile/Spiral development, CI/CD, and PLM systems.
- Ability to build, scale, and manage high-performing engineering teams while fostering innovation and proactiveness.
- Demonstrated success in on-time project delivery under strict milestones and budget constraints.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (required).
- Master’s or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (advantage).
- Israeli citizenship (mandatory).
