The School of Medicine at the Weizmann Institute of Science is seeking an IT Systems and Support Coordinator.



Role Responsibilities

The position includes responsibility for updating and developing the software and hardware systems of the School of Medicine, including:

Analysis, development, and expansion of software systems for school management, including administrative and scientific applications, and adapting them to various need

  • Managing procurement (licenses) and support contracts
  • Managing and overseeing implementation projects and operation of learning environments - learning management systems, simulation, case management (candidates, patients, clients, etc.), feedback management, surveys, exams, and more
  • Ongoing support and maintenance of hardware and software: network infrastructure, technological learning aids, multimedia equipment, printers, and computer
  • Working with numerous interfaces both within the Institute and externals


Requirement

  • Full stack development knowledge and experience - mandatory
  • Experience with React and Python programming languages - significant advantage
  • Knowledge of R, Shiny, and scientific programming - advantage
  • Understanding of computing infrastructure - hardware/software, communications, and personal computing - mandatory
  • Experience in cluster management and cloud computing - significant advantage
  • Familiarity with Docker - significant advantage
  • Knowledge of information security topics - advantage
  • Experience working with technological systems in teaching and learning - advantage
  • Experience in team management - advantage
  • Experience working with external suppliers and service providers - advantage
  • High-level proficiency in Hebrew and English, both written and verbal
  • Systems thinking, initiative, and ability to drive process
