We are looking for a highly skilled, experienced and technical Front End Team Leader to join our growing R&D Department.
The ideal candidate should bring deep expertise in React to drive the development of high-performance, scalable web applications.
This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure seamless front-end development, a passion for modern web technologies, best practices, and mentoring developers to elevate their skills.
What will you do:
- Lead and mentor a team of 6 Front End developers (including hiring and training), fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
- Architect, design, and implement high-quality React applications with a strong focus on performance and scalability.
- Establish best practices for frontend development, including coding standards, UI/UX consistency, and component-based architecture.
- Collaborate with backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Conduct code and design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in React and frontend technologies, driving continuous improvement within the team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to frontend development.
- Lead and participate in technical discussions, planning, and decision-making.
- Reporting to VP R&D.
What should you have:
- 5+ years of experience in front-end development with a focus on React (preferably with version 18).
- At least 3 years of experience in leading a front-end team in a dynamic Start-Up environment (preferably from a B2B SaaS company).
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, SCSS (Sass), HTML, CSS, LESS – A must!
- Deep knowledge and understanding of Front End architecture and experience in building large-scale Web Applications.
- Experience working with high-traffic production environments.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git, and an understanding of code versioning best practices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
- Past experience/knowledge with React Testing Libraries / Frameworks.
- JIRA & Confluence experience.
- Ability to work with design systems and implement accessible, pixel-perfect UIs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Can-do approach and innovative by nature.
- Great soft skills, a desire for mentoring and training people.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Hebrew + English).
- Big Advantage – Experience with micro frontends / self-hosted UI libs.
- Experience with Vite, Thunk, MUI, CSS modules, Storybook – Advantage.
- BA/B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent – Advantage.
