About The Position
WekaIO is seeking a Lab DevOps Team member, working with a team of engineers, who manages our physical labs. You'll develop the infrastructure for our servers, high-performance networking to support WEKA's cutting-edge storage platform. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take a significant part of ensuring optimal testing environments for our enterprise-grade storage solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement infrastructure to allocate, configure and troubleshoot servers
- Design and implement software to configure networking on the servers and on the switch ports
- Troubleshoot SW infrastructure and physical infrastructure in the labs
- Work with multiple teams on gathering requirements and coordinating changes
- Coordinate resource sharing between R&D teams
- Define and implement infrastructure monitoring strategies using modern observability tools
- Ensure efficient operation of test environments and hardware qualification processes
- Drive infrastructure modernization initiatives and best practices adoption
- Establish and maintain documentation for lab processes, infrastructure, and operational procedures
- Perform capacity planning and resource allocation for lab environments
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Lab Operations, DevOps, System Administration, or similar technical roles
- 3+ years of SW development experience
- Experience in scripting languages (Python, Bash)
- Strong knowledge of Linux
- Familiarity with VMware
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Teraform, Pulumi)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in storage industry or high-performance computing environments
- Strong expertise in network infrastructure and lab environment management
- Experience with monitoring solutions (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana)
- Experience in Windows server environments
- Familiarity with k8s
- Experience with inventory management
- Knowledge of identity management solutions (Active Directory, LDAP)
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements
- Strong understanding of networking protocols and troubleshooting
- Experience working in fast-paced R&D environments
