About the position:

This means you will: 

• Tackle complex technical challenges and find creative solutions 
• Develop new backend features end-to-end  
• Have a startup mentality: high-paced, dynamically changing tasks and priorities ● Be a core team member - you will contribute to illumex’s main and mission-critical data processing pipelines 
• Lead infrastructure changes as part of product development.  
• Work closely with Data Science and Full Stacks Engineers to bring all our features to production 
• Conduct design and code reviews 
• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various backend system components 

Illumex’s Ideal Candidate has:

• 6+ years of proven track record as a backend engineer - a must 
• Experience with designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and web services 
• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS/GCP/Azure 
• Experience with Kubernetes and docker 
• Focus on writing clean code that is readable, simple, and maintainable ● Big advantage - experience with Graph Database (advantage for Neo4j)
• Experience writing automated tests from unit tests to End-2-End tests
• Experience and motivation (to) working with generative AI code/test assistants
• Motivation to taking ownership, learn, share knowledge, and grow together with the role and the company - this is a core value that we cherish the most!
