From the ground up. And we think we’ve come up with something that’s going to completely change the game. Our designers come from Apple and Twitter. Our product people from Facebook, Apple, Lumo, Athos, and Playtika. Hardware and software engineers at the top of their fields. And they’re all working together to help you get results and work out in a way that’s going to keep you engaged, progressing, and enjoying the process.

About the Role:

We are looking for a System Engineer to join our team in developing, testing, and optimizing the

amp fitness device. This role involves mechanical, electrical, and firmware integration, ensuring

the device operates at peak performance, meets high-reliability standards, and delivers a

seamless user experience. You will work on feature development, system validation, testing

methodologies, and troubleshooting across the hardware, firmware, and mechanical domains.


Key Responsibilities:

System Development & Integration

● Contribute to the design, development, and refinement of amp’s hardware and software features.

● Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and firmware teams to ensure seamless system performance.

● Develop and optimize control algorithms for cable resistance, motor behavior, and safety mechanisms.

● Define and maintain system-level requirements, architecture, and testing protocols.

Testing & Validation

● Design and execute system-level and component-level tests to validate performance and reliability.

● Develop custom test equipment for diagnostics and performance monitoring.

● Analyze system behavior to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues.

● Ensure compliance with safety, durability, and quality standards.

Troubleshooting & Optimization

● Conduct root-cause analysis for performance deviations and hardware/software interaction issues.

● Optimize firmware algorithms related to motor control, resistance application, and system responsiveness.

● Improve communication protocols (BLE, Wi-Fi, RS422) for real-time data collection and control.

Technical Documentation & Collaboration

● Create clear technical documentation, specifications, test reports, and troubleshooting guides.

● Work cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, electrical, and product teams to align system requirements.

● Support patent filings by contributing technical descriptions of new innovations.


Qualifications & Experience:

● At least 3 years of experience in system engineering, embedded systems, mechatronics, or a related field.

● Strong understanding of multi-disciplinary system integration (mechanical, electrical, firmware).

● Experience with motor control, real-time embedded systems, and electromechanical actuation.

● Hands-on experience in developing and executing test procedures for complex systems.

● Proficiency in failure analysis, troubleshooting, and system debugging.

● Ability to work with real-time control systems, sensors, and actuators.

● Familiarity with embedded firmware development (C/C++), system modeling (MATLAB/Python), and electronics debugging is a plus.

● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment.
