GK8 is looking for a talented and experienced R&D Team Lead to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, take full ownership of infrastructure-related projects, and contribute to the development of secure, scalable systems. You will guide your team through the full development lifecycle—from design and architecture to implementation, code review, and deployment—while maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, recruit and manage a team of talented Software Engineers
• Be responsible for the development process of infrastructure tools
• Take ownership of projects end-to-end, from inception through design, managing tasks and priorities, reviewing code, and managing the rollout of features to customers

Requirements:

• Hands-on R&D Team Lead with 2+ years of experience in managing Backend Engineers
• Developed using C++ 11 and above for 2+ years
• Experienced with Crypto, Cybersecurity, Great code quality practices, and Linux (Cryptography/cryptologic/encryption/PKI/)- Advantage

• Great leadership skills, proven architecture/design skills, and knowledge of a wide range of technologies.
• Graduate of Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
