Autotalks is looking for a highly skilled Embedded System Engineer to drive the system development of Autotalks automotive safe and secure IC . You will play a pivotal role in scoping the system requirements and system architecture, work closely with engineers from multiple engineering disciplines to help them realize the system design, and oversee the system integration and verification activities.

You will play a key role in developing a wireless automotive safety system that will be deployed in millions of vehicles. The position is part of the R&D group, working in a hybrid model from our offices in Kfar Netter, from home, or from our remote offices in Rehovot and Caesarea.

Why Autotalks?

Autotalks is creating a world without road accidents.

We are changing the future of road safety and mobility forever by developing vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communications solutions.

Our chipsets connect vehicles, cyclists, pedestrians and smart infrastructure into one safety network, allowing them to be aware of one another.

With significant carmakers that have selected Autotalks for mass-market deployment, technological leadership and investments of over $150 million, we are standing at the forefront of the smart mobility revolution, and this is your chance to join our amazing journey.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Refining the stakeholder requirements into well-structured system requirement specifications. Analyze system requirements for correctness, technical feasibility, and the impact on the system context.
  • Developing the system architecture, addressing static and dynamic aspects. Analyze the system architecture against defined technical criteria, utilizing diverse analysis methods (e.g., FMEA, DFA, FTA, and similar).
  • Oversee system integration and verification activities to make sure that the system requirements and design are correctly interpreted, and that verification activities are effective.
  • Lead multidisciplinary workgroups dealing with the definition of shared system aspects (e.g., the interfaces between system architectural elements developed by different design teams), and addressing functional safety and cybersecurity requirements (e.g., introducing safety mechanisms or cybersecurity controls).
  • Contribute to the development of the system engineering discipline at Autotalks, inc. the introduction and assimilation of new methodologies and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded software engineering (preferred) or ASIC design.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in requirements engineering and (multidisciplinary) system engineering.
  • Near-native English proficiency and proven skills in authoring documents and technical diagrams.
  • Self-managed (ability to work independently), effective prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Advantage:

  • Experience working in a regulated industry (Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, Medical, or similar).
  • Experience with ISO 26262:2018, ISO/SAE 21434:2021, or comparable safety and security standards.
  • Experience with wireless communication systems, HW/RF design and/or embedded systems.
