About the role:

Are you looking to become an expert in Data Engineering? At Sela, we’re seeking Data Engineer with strong SQL skills and a background in Business Intelligence (BI) who is eager to advance their skills. You will work with data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud platforms, helping to build scalable data architectures and pipelines across multiple cloud platforms, (AWS, Azure, and GCP), while optimizing data workflows.

What you’ll do:

• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Design and implement data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Develop and design data solutions to support BI and develop BI dashboards.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries for ETL/ELT processes.
• Deploy and manage data solutions on multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, and Azure).
• Work closely with client stakeholders to design and implement data architecture that meets business needs.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in BI, Data Engineering, or related roles.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong SQL skills – ability to write and optimize complex queries.
• Must have prior experience working with BI tools such as Sisense, Looker, Power BI, and more.
• Hands-on experience with at least one Data Warehouse or Data Lake (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, Athena or similar).
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and database performance tuning.
• Proficiency in Python and Java.
• Experience with cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure.

Preferred:

• Experience in data modeling and designing scalable data architectures
• Experience with tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation for data workflows.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
• Understanding of streaming technologies such as Kafka or Pub/Sub.
