We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Automation Infrastructure Tech Lead to drive our test automation efforts and lead our automation infrastructure excellence. This role is a unique opportunity to combine technical leadership, hands-on development, and acting as a Scrum Master for the team, ensuring our automation solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
As Automation Infrastructure Tech Lead, you will lead the development of automation infrastructure and services using Python and a BDD framework, collaborating closely with automation engineers and development teams. Additionally, you will design and implement test infrastructure for end-to-end, component, API, and UI testing, providing test automation infrastructure as a service for automation and development teams
.This role requires deep hands-on involvement, strong problem-solving skills, and a thorough understanding of our product and its deployment environments.
Your Role & Impact
· Architect, evolve, and scale test automation infrastructure for end-to-end, API, UI, and component tests.
· Provide mentorship, best practices, code reviews and technical guidance to automation and development teams.
· Facilitate Agile best practices by acting as a Scrum Master, managing task allocation based on priority and team capacity, and ensuring seamless collaboration within the team.
· Own, develop, and maintain scalable test automation infrastructure across teams.
· Enhance and optimize BDD-based testing framework, improving efficiency and scalability.
· Improve automation services and tools (e.g., reporting, debugging, and troubleshooting tools).
· Analyze infrastructure failures, troubleshoot root causes, and drive improvements and stability.
· Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, ensuring transparency and alignment.
Requirements
· 7+ years of experience in QA automation infrastructure development, with proven technical leadership experience.
· Strong Python programming skills and experience in test automation frameworks.
· Experience with cloud-native technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, serverless).
· Expertise with CI/CD pipelines and automation toolchains (e.g., Jenkins).
· Hands-on experience with major cloud service providers (AWS preferred, GCP is an advantage).
· Familiarity with test reporting solutions (e.g., ReportPortal).
· Understanding of BDD test automation frameworks (big advantage).
· Ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies.
· Passion for product quality and continuous improvement, with a proactive mindset.
