We're seeking an exceptional NLP Technical Lead to spearhead our natural language processing initiatives. The ideal candidate will drive innovation in veterinary medicine through advanced NLP solutions, with a particular focus on large language models (LLMs). As a NLP tech-lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our NLP initiatives and driving innovation in our products.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of brand new and advanced NLP based solutions to provide first of its kind solutions for a medical field, with a specific focus on large language models (LLMs).
• Lead the design, development, and implementation of brand new and advanced NLP based solutions.
• Architect and optimize NLP pipelines, ensuring efficient processing and handling of large volumes of textual data.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in LLMs and NLP, applying relevant techniques to enhance our products and keep us at the forefront of the field.
• Mentor and guide junior NLP engineers in NLP-related projects, providing technical leadership, knowledge sharing, and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Conduct thorough research on LLMs and their applications (and not just prompt engineering!), identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in our products.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high code quality, scalability, and maintainability of ML-related components.
• Investigate and resolve complex issues related to ML algorithms, models, and infrastructure, contributing to the overall stability and reliability of our products.

• At least 4 years experience as an NLP engineer.
• B.Sc, M.Sc. or Phd in Engineering, computer science or related field.
• Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
• Proven experience working with large language models (LLMs) - big advantage.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience in leading diverse AI teams - advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Direct experience with LLM development and deployment.
• Experience in healthcare or medical AI applications.
