Mentee's goal is to fully integrate robotics, sensing, and AI into a humanoid robot with human-like dexterity and perception, and sufficient reasoning capabilities to execute a diverse array of tasks and continuously adapt and learn new ones. As part of the AI cycle, large language models (LLMs) are tightly integrated translating natural language commands into internal action models that are grounded in a 3D cognitive map of the world.
What You Will Do
- Develop novel deep learning algorithms for a wide range of computer vision tasks.
- Design and implement the entire pipeline of data processing, training, and testing.
- Work on the cognitive map of the robot, including 3D modeling of the world, semantics, and perception.
- Deploy highly optimized models to run in real-time on the robot.
Who You Are
- M.Sc/Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in deep learning development.
- Demonstrated excellence (e.g., elite unit background, academic distinctions, upward career trajectory).
- Proven record of developing state-of-the-art deep learning methods in computer vision.
- Experience working on 3D modeling and rendering with neural networks.
- Experience developing computer vision algorithms such as detection, segmentation, depth estimation, and tracking.
