You thrive delivering results. As Director of Software Engineering, you will be accountable for the definition, design, delivery, and maintenance of our cloud platform solutions. You will inspire and lead the R&D solution teams to enable operational efficiency, driver safety, and regulatory compliance. This position requires people and technology leadership while collaborating with product and other customer facing support teams. Together, you’ll help save lives on the roadways.

You’ll Get To

• Construct high performance teams capable of setting and achieving high engineering standards and project execution
• Motivate the team to establish and maintain high code quality standards including maintainability, testability, and service levels
• Work with engineering managers and engineers to build services, and standards that enable faster time to market, improved observability, product efficacy, reliability and availability
• Develop and validate design and technology directions
• Partner with other technology leaders to establish architectural patterns, cloud scalability, and security standards
• Collaborate with the product teams to ensure high quality systems are delivered expeditiously and aligned with business objectives
• Partner with other customer facing support teams to proactively debug and resolve customer issues while maintaining standard SLA’s
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
  

What You Need

• Minimum 12 years’ experience managing substantial and complex cloud-based SaaS product
• Extensive experience managing whole software development life cycle
• Extensive experience in working with a variety of public and private cloud environments
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a leadership role, with proven experience developing, aligning, and working through their team to deliver enterprise systems
• History of building and mentoring high performing engineering managers and engineers
• Deep technical background in systems, enterprise scale, and security standards
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant experience required
