Job Brief
We are seeking an experienced Data Group Leader to drive our data strategy, governance, analytics, and machine learning capabilities while managing a small, high-performing data team. This role will play a key part in building Theranica’s data infrastructure, delivering high-quality insights, and aligning data initiatives with business objectives, including commercial teams (Marketing, Sales, and Operations).
The ideal candidate has 7-10 years of experience in data-related roles, including at least 2 years of people management, and is capable of leading data-driven decision-making within budget and manpower constraints.
Roles and Responsibilities
Analytics, Business Insights & Machine Learning
- Lead the development of advanced analytics, predictive modeling, and AI-driven insights.
- Identify and implement machine learning models that enhance business performance and operational efficiency.
- Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to develop data-driven customer insights, campaign performance tracking, and demand forecasting.
- Drive adoption of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to enhance accessibility and understanding.
- Advocate for and implement MLOps best practices for model deployment, automation, and monitoring.
Data Architecture & Infrastructure
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a scalable and efficient data infrastructure.
- Work closely with IT and engineering teams to ensure a robust data architecture that supports analytics and ML needs.
- Manage data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud-based solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Data Strategy & Governance
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals.
- Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and data privacy standards.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage and mentor a small team of data professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure effective resource allocation within budget and manpower constraints, aligning with company needs and priorities.
- Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, ensuring data solutions effectively address business needs.
- Work cross-functionally with commercial teams (Marketing, Sales, Operations), IT, and executive leadership to align data initiatives with organizational objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must Have
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in data-related roles, including at least 2+ years managing a team.
- Strong expertise in data governance, data architecture, and analytics.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Databricks) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Ability to prioritize projects within budget and resource limitations.
- Fluent in English and Hebrew
Nice to Have
- Experience with machine learning, AI, or advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
- Previous experience in driving cultural shifts towards data-driven decision-making.
