The Bioanalyst will play a critical role in owning, maintaining, and advancing the company's analysis pipelines. The role involves supporting ongoing biological experiments, delivering actionable insights, and developing algorithms for complex downstream tasks. This position requires strong programming skills and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, including biologists, chemists, software engineers, bioinformaticians, and AI researchers.


Key responsibilities:

  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with biologists and other departments to support experimental analyses, provide insights, and troubleshoot data-related challenges.
  • Pipeline Management: Own, maintain, and optimize existing analysis pipelines, ensuring seamless integration into the company’s platform as user-friendly applications.
  • Formulating a coherent research question, defining dependent, independent and confounding variables, and applying relevant research methods and statistical tests.
  • Algorithm Development: Design and implement novel algorithms for downstream tasks, such as anomaly detection, clustering, mode of action investigation, profiling, and multi-modal data integration.
  • Reporting: Prepare and deliver reports, presentations, and data visualizations to communicate findings effectively, to diverse stakeholders.
  • Innovation: Stay updated on the latest trends and tools in bioanalysis, implementing advancements to improve workflows and research outcomes.


Education, experience, and other requirements:

  • Education: A degree in Computational Biology/ Computer Science and biology/ computer engineering, with core courses in biology (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Python; experience with libraries for data analysis and visualization is essential.
  • Excellent understanding of probability theory and applied statistics.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with biological data analysis pipelines, integration of analysis tools into software platforms, and algorithm development.
  • Team Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex data issues and find innovative solutions.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience as a Bio analyst/ research data analyst.
  • Attention to details, time management, and organization skills are a must.
  • Good programming practices, including object-oriented programming, functional design principles, and version control tools (git, Jira, etc.).
