Gentex Technologies Israel – GTI, is the Israeli R&D center of Gentex, located in Tel-Aviv. We are focused on developing the next generation of automotive AI technology for in-cabin and driver monitoring applications and serve as Gentex’s AI center-of-excellence. 

About the Position 

We are looking for a talented algorithm developer to join our R&D group. In this position you will: 

  • Design and implement complex computer vision algorithms for our Driver Monitoring System, that leverage both deep learning and classic computer vision techniques. 
  • Own the entire algorithm development process – from proof-of-concept and research to creating robust, production-ready solutions. 
  • Work on unique state-of-the-art proprietary optical technology. 
  • Become a part of a global R&D operation and a dynamic local team. 

 

What are we looking for? 

  • M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a relevant scientific degree, or equivalent experience – a must. 
  • 5+ years of experience in computer vision algorithm development. 
  • Deep understanding of both classic computer vision and Deep Learning techniques, principles and frameworks (OpenCV, TensorFlow). 
  • Proficiency in designing and integrating computer vision systems into larger systems or applications. 
  • Solid knowledge in Python. 
  • Solid understanding of 3D geometry, linear algebra, projection models, camera models, and transformations.  
  • A problem solver and a team player. 
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and effectively communicate complex technical concepts. 
  • Advantage - Background in optics/signal processing/3D modeling.
