Atera is looking for a Web Development Team Leader to join our team and take a key role in our incredible journey!

You’ll be leading a team of developers responsible for the company’s main website (WordPress) and other critical internet assets. This team plays a pivotal role in maintaining, developing, and optimizing the company’s digital presence. The role involves managing and contributing to development, implementing efficient workflows, overseeing hosting and deployment processes, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure the success of the company’s online platforms.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of managerial experience in a technical leadership role.
• Proactiveness, can-do attitude with problem-solving mindset.
• Strong communication skills, ability to address, recruit, and motivate different stakeholders.
• Extensive experience in developing and maintaining custom themes and plugins, including using plugins like ACF and WPML.
• Familiarity with Gutenberg and creating custom blocks.
• Experience with workflows and frameworks like Roots Bedrock, Composer, and WP-CLI.
• Proficiency in PHP with a strong understanding of writing clean, maintainable code, debugging, and managing MySQL databases.
• Expertise in TailwindCSS, React, and modern JavaScript.
• Advanced proficiency in Git, including branching strategies, code reviews, and resolving merge conflicts.
• Experience in configuring and maintaining hosting environments, with proficiency in SSH and working in terminal environments.
• Knowledge of web performance techniques, such as reducing load times, asset optimization, lazy loading, and caching strategies.
• Solid understanding of web security principles and strategies to secure applications and environments.
