As a Principal Architect on the Applications Team, you will be at the forefront of shaping the technical vision and architecture of high-scale, mission-critical systems. Your role will be critical in designing and implementing high-performance systems that can handle millions of requests per second, optimizing SEO-driven workloads, and ensuring that the platform is resilient and scalable. • Design and Strategy: Lead the design, planning, and execution of the team’s architecture roadmap, focusing on innovative solutions to improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.


• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure technical solutions align with business needs and objectives.


• Mentorship and Leadership: Mentor and coach engineers, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning across the organization.


• Technical Excellence: Drive the adoption of engineering best practices, helping the team balance technical perfection with pragmatic delivery, and encourage creative problem-solving and risk-taking.


• Performance Optimization: Focus on delivering high-performance systems, ensuring the efficient use of resources, and maintaining optimal performance under varying loads.

• 13+ years of experience in software development and architecture, with a B.S. in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience).


• Extensive experience with Node.js and Angular 2+, with a solid understanding of their application in large-scale systems.


• Proven expertise in designing complex systems and architectures, with a focus on performance, scalability, and resilience.


• Experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP, but also other providers like AWS or Azure).


• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.


• Experience with unit testing (e.g., Jest, Jasmine) and UI testing (e.g., Cypress, Storybook) is a plus.


• Expertise in high-level system and architecture design, including documentation and collaboration with cross-functional teams.


• A solid understanding of SEO principles and their impact on system design is a plus.


• Java experience is a bonus, particularly for system integration and multi-stack applications.
