We are looking for a passionate and skilled Backend Team Leader to lead a talented team of developers located both onsite (Israel) and offshore (Poland).
This role requires a hands-on leader who can mentor team members, design and implement complex systems, and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-impact projects.

- Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
- Be hands-on: Actively contribute to the design, development, and implementation of key backend systems.
- Manage and oversee team activities across both onsite and offshore developers to ensure collaboration and productivity.
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable, high-performance systems for our cloud-based cybersecurity platform.
- Collaborate with Product, DevOps, Frontend, QA and other development teams to align backend development with overall project goals.
- Maintain and improve code quality, system reliability, and development best practices.
- Take ownership of project planning, task prioritization, and timely delivery of backend features.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top-tier talent for the backend team.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience leading a development team.
- 6+ years of backend development experience (Python preferred).
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ability to motivate, mentor, and manage a distributed team effectively.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and geographies.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on delivering practical solutions.
- Language: Fluency in English is required.
