We are seeking a VMware VCF Tech Lead to join our team and lead the implementation, management, and optimization of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments for our clients.
The VMware VCF Tech Lead will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
This role requires expertise in VCF, NSX-T, vSAN, and Aria Suite components along with the ability to integrate and optimize multi-cloud infrastructures. You will collaborate with teams to implement scalable solutions and support hybrid cloud strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments, including vSphere, NSX-T, vSAN, and Aria Suite components components
- Plan, implement, and manage multi-cloud integrations using VCF
- Lead migrations, upgrades, and optimization of VCF platforms for performance and reliability
- Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of VCF solutions
- Configure and troubleshoot networking within NSX-T to support scalable, software-defined networks
- Develop and maintain operational procedures and best practices for VCF environments
- Perform capacity planning, monitoring, and health assessments for VCF platforms
- Provide advanced support for troubleshooting and resolving issues in VCF environments
- Stay updated on VMware’s latest offerings, including enhancements to VCF and related technologies
- Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge of best practices in VMware and hybrid cloud solutions
Requirements:
- Possess 3-5 years of experience in the core architecture, components, and design considerations of key VMware products such as VCF, vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T, Aria Operations (VROPS), Aria Operations for Logs (vRLI), disaster recovery solutions, and more
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve bottlenecks, design issues, and alignment challenges between business requirements and infrastructure topology
- In-depth knowledge of VMware and infrastructure, with practical experience in their implementation, deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Customer-centric mindset, delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations
- Solid understanding of infrastructure concepts, including computing, storage, and networking
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience in complex VMware environments
Advantages:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field is a plus. Advanced technical certifications are also advantageous (e.g., VCP, VCAP, or equivalent)
- Previous experience with consulting or customer-facing roles is a plus
- Experience with VMware Aria Suite and automation platforms
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as PowerCLI, Python, or Ansible
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
