Check Point is looking for a promising and brilliant Back End Developer for Avanan!

Avanan was acquired by Check Point and it is now Check Point’s Email Security and collaboration solution.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a large-scale, AI-powered, cloud-native system (one of the 10 largest in Israel!) using cutting-edge technology in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize scalable backend systems for high-traffic, real-time applications.
• Ensure system performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with large volumes of data and manage infrastructure at a very high scale.
• Participate in architectural discussions and influence system design.
• Mentor junior developers on the team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of backend development experience with Python + Cloud.
• Experience working with large volumes of data in high-traffic production environments.
• Familiarity with AWS, Dockers, cloud-computing, cloud design patterns.

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with Go (Golang), Rust, databases (SQL/NoSQL, in-memory, vector DBs), real-time processing, or microservices.
• Knowledge of AI/NLP – training and serving deep learning models.
